Karen Nash Memorial Butterfly Garden

Introduction

Over 1300 daffodils have been planted in "The Karen Nash Memorial Butterfly Garden." The daffodils are cared for by the Warren Jr. Gardeners (3rd thru 6th graders). Karen Nash Memorial Butterfly Garden has been recognized as the Top Youth Garden Club in New Jersey and in the Central Atlantic Region of the United States three times over the past decade.

The daffodils typically bloom the 3rd week of April, although blooming is weather dependent.

The garden is located at Memorial School, 300 W. Stewart St., Washington, New Jersey 07882.

Groups visiting the butterfly garden are required to make advanced reservations for insurance purposes; the garden is run by volunteers, and they have to arrange for someone to be present anytime a group plans to visit. A small donation to the school's young gardeners group is appreciated. The KNMBG is a 501 c 3 organization.
