Status on March 31, 2010 from the telephone message: "Due to this morning's snowstorms, we are sorry to say we are now closed for the remainder of the year. We will be planting a great amount of new bulbs this fall and look forward to a beautiful 2011. We hope to see you then."
As described on the Amador County Chamber of Commerce Daffodil Hill web page, "Nature sets the schedule for public viewing. Daffodil Hill opens when 25 percent of the flowers are in bloom and closes when only 25 percent remain. The best time to visit Daffodil Hill is the spring, usually from the end of March through the first three weeks of April. Daffodil Hill is open only at this time of year, after that it goes back to a working ranch."
Here is the phone number for official Daffodil Hill information during the blooming season: 209-296-7048
See the Daffodil Hill web page for photos, history, and additional details about the 300,000 daffodils in bloom every year.
